Dr. Hagmann became interested in podiatry while working as an activity director at Wisconsin Badger Camp, a non-profit organization that provides summer camp activities for adults and children with special needs. Experiencing her own foot and ankle pain that impacted her quality of life and prevented her from performing her daily activities, she was directed to the care of a podiatrist. From there, she experienced compassionate care and was introduced to the world of podiatric medicine.

Dr. Hagmann specializes in conservative, non-surgical treatment of the foot and ankle and wound care. 

Dr. Hagmann is most passionate about helping her patients become pain free and preventing complications like amputations, wounds, and infections. She strongly believes in the age-old adage, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” and has spent the last four years of her career providing podiatric evaluations and at-risk foot care in the community setting for elderly and disabled people with conditions such as diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. Her expertise lies in providing comprehensive evaluations, including biomechanical, peripheral vascular, and neurological assessments, to craft the most effective conservative treatment plans to reduce pain and maintain optimal foot health

Dr. Hagmann received her master’s degree in healthcare administration and management and doctorate degree in podiatric medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. While in her graduate studies, she learned extensively about biomechanics under the mentorship of Dr. Lisa Schoene at Gurnee Podiatry and Sports Medicine Associates. 

Dr. Hagmann also received the Rosalind Franklin University Student Leadership Helix Award, The Illinois Podiatric Medical Association Drs. Harold, Joel, and Marc Feder Scholarship Award for Excellence in Biomechanics, and the Health Administration Program Outstanding Dual Degree Student Award. 

Dr. Hagmann went on to finish her surgical foot and ankle residency program at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in rural Dixon, Illinois. During her 2nd and 3rd years of residency, she dedicated her time weekly to wound care management at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois and the newly-created KSB Center for Wound Healing in Dixon, Illinois. Dr. Hagmann served as chief resident in her final year of residency.
